One company grappling with the ramifications of this transformation was Neurosensory (NSU). Over the years, NSU has consistently provided exceptional hearing services, garnering the satisfaction of thousands of patients across Australia. However, the ever-evolving realm of customer communication presented NSU with a formidable challenge that demanded a dynamic solution—one capable of maintaining the relevance, personalisation, and efficiency of its messaging. This is where we entered the picture!
NSU's success story spanning four decades was grounded in its commitment to personalised healthcare. Still, as they continued to expand their reach with 24 clinics and align with over 60 Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeons, they faced the challenge of maintaining relevant and tailored communication with their audience. They needed to adapt to changing patient needs, billing and health fund information, and provide timely updates on appointments and healthcare benefits. This was due to the existing data infrastructure as it was split across multiple systems, leaving them without a single source of truth. Moreover, their previous software lacked the capability to apply business rules to their data or support the integration of a new marketing tool, Microsoft Dynamics.
Over this production cycle, our team collaborated closely to design an end-to-end solution that addressed these challenges head-on. The key components of our solution included:
Azure Data Factory:
Harnessing the power of Azure Data Factory, our developers were able to provide scalable data transformation solutions. This allowed NSU to streamline data from various sources, including Excel spreadsheets and legacy system databases, making it accessible and usable.
Secure VNET:
To ensure data security, we replicated SQL databases and placed them within a secure Virtual Network (VNET). This safeguarded the integrity and confidentiality of the data throughout the transformation process.
Unified Reporting Database:
Azure Data Factory facilitated the creation of a unified reporting database, which served as the single source of truth for NSU's data. This data was seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Dynamics, empowering NSU to run targeted sales and marketing campaigns with precision.
